Evangelina Lopez is a scientific specialist in the Intellectual Property group of Morrison & Foerster’s San Francisco office.
The scientific specialist team conducts patent and non-patent literature searches for patentability, freedom to operate, invalidity, landscape, and due diligence analysis. The scientific specialist team also provides general patent prosecution support.
Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Ms. Lopez was an associate chemist and resin qualification technician for a leading biotechnology company. Her other work experience includes work as a quality control operator for a renowned technology company.
Ms. Lopez earned her B.S. in biochemistry at Saint Mary’s College of California, where she was awarded a summer research internship. Her undergraduate research focused on the aromatic counterion distribution involved in stabilizing the 12-4-12 Gemini surfactant micelle transformation in the presence of para-fluorobenzoate salt. She earned her M.S. in biotechnology at Johns Hopkins University.
Ms. Lopez is fluent in Spanish.
