Francesca focuses her work on patent and non-patent literature searches for patentability, freedom to operate, invalidity, landscape, and due diligence analysis, in addition to providing general patent prosecution support.

Prior to joining the firm, Francesca Tizon worked at a Silicon Valley patent firm where she drafted patent claims and prepared patent applications for clients in medical device, biotechnology, and artificial intelligence systems fields.

Francesca earned her masters of science in law, with honors, from Northwestern Pritzker Law School, Chicago. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a bachelor of arts in molecular and cell biology and physiology.

Her undergrad research at Luo Lab at the University of California, Berkeley, focused on understanding and identifying components of the signal transduction pathways downstream of the transforming growth factor beta (TGFb) receptors and the role these pathways play in regulation of mammary epithelial cell differentiation and breast carcinogenesis.
