Gabrielle Hoover focuses on U.S. and international patent prosecution and global patent portfolio management.

Drawing on her Ph.D. in chemistry and research background in organic synthesis, Gabrielle prepares and prosecutes patent applications across a range of chemical and life sciences technologies.

Gabrielle’s technical background enables her to work closely with inventors developing pharmaceutical products, advanced materials, and other emerging technologies. She has coordinated international prosecution of pharmaceutical patent portfolios and prepared patent applications. She has also provided scientific support for intellectual property litigation and FDA-related matters.

Prior to joining Morrison Foerster, Gabrielle conducted doctoral research focused on organic synthesis at the University of Toronto, where she designed and synthesized photoactive and electronically active organic chalcogen materials in collaboration with physicists and computational scientists.

Gabrielle received her Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Toronto and her B.S. in chemistry, summa cum laude, from the University at Albany, SUNY Honors College. She is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
