Greg Salathé is a partner in the firm’s Corporate Group. Greg has over 30 years of international experience in private equity and cross border M&A, having practiced in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, and New York.
Greg has represented private funds in downstream investments, regulatory compliance and fund raising across Asia. His funds practice includes private equity acquisitions and buy-outs, real estate and infrastructure, and credit lending. In addition, Greg has been a trusted adviser to corporate clients on complex and high-value international transactions across numerous sectors, including financial services, hospitality and life sciences experience in Japan includes multibillion dollar M&A transactions in both public and private transactions.
Before joining Morrison Foerster, Greg served as a Partner and the Group General Counsel of PAG, one of the largest independent alternative fund managers in Asia. PAG manages more than US$55 billion in capital across its private equity, real assets and credit & markets businesses.
Greg has has been recognized as a leading lawyer by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific.
Greg received his J.D. from the University of Virginia, and his B.A. with honors from Haverford College. He is admitted to practice law in New York and is qualified as a Gaikokuho-Jimu-Bengoshi in Japan.
