Hannah Vester is a member of Morrison Foerster’s Appellate and Supreme Court Practice.
Hannah’s practice focuses on appeals and critical motions in federal and state courts. She has briefed complex constitutional and statutory issues, including those involving the First Amendment and social media regulation.
Before joining Morrison Foerster, Hannah clerked for the Hon. Jed S. Rakoff of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and the Hon. David J. Barron of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. She previously served as a legal fellow at the Knight First Amendment Institute, where she worked on First Amendment litigation and researched issues involving freedom-of-information laws, commercial speech, access to judicial records, and First Amendment limits on tort liability.
Hannah earned her J.D. from Yale Law School, where she served as an Articles & Essays Editor for the Yale Law Journal and as an Articles Editor for the Yale Law & Policy Review. She also participated in Yale’s Supreme Court Advocacy Clinic and Media Freedom & Information Access Clinic, drafting certiorari petitions and working on First Amendment and freedom-of-information matters. She received her A.B., magna cum laude, in Politics from Princeton University.
