Hebani Duggal is an associate in Morrison Foerster’s Data, Cyber + Privacy Group and is based in the New York office.
Hebani’s practice focuses on privacy and data security matters, including regulatory compliance, litigation, and transaction diligence. She also advises clients on cybersecurity, incident response, and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence.
Hebani received her J.D. cum laude from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where she served as an editor on the Hastings International and Comparative Law Review. During law school, Hebani worked in the Office of Enforcement at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, where she supported investigations into unlawful consumer financial practices and assisted with enforcement actions, including matters involving deceptive lending and the misuse of federal relief funds. She also interned at Uber, where she gained experience with technology policy and regulatory compliance issues.
Prior to joining Morrison Foerster, Hebani worked at a large financial institution on the Credit and Fraud Risk and Pricing Strategy teams. Her work focused on building consumer risk models and pricing strategies for third-party payment aggregators and partnering with legal counsel to align pricing structures with emerging consumer protection and data privacy laws. She received her B.A. in computing and information sciences from Cornell University.
