Jennifer Miani is a member of the Transactions Department and the Executive Compensation + Benefits Group. Jennifer is an experienced employee benefits attorney with a robust background in the design, implementation, and ongoing administration and compliance of qualified retirement plans and health and welfare benefit plans. She possesses strong substantive knowledge of ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, and related laws and regulations. Before joining Morrison Foerster, Jennifer served at another firm as a senior employee benefits attorney. At her former firm, she performed compliance reviews, provided counsel on corrections of operational failures in employee benefit plans through Internal Revenue Service and Department of Labor correction programs, and offered guidance on Affordable Care Act matters and new legislation such as the SECURE Act and CARES Act.
Jennifer received her LL.M., with distinction, in Taxation, with an Employee Benefits Certificate from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. She holds a J.D. from Pace University School of Law. She achieved her M.A. in English Education from Lehman College and her B.A. from New York University.
