Jonathan Traub is an associate in Morrison Foerster’s Boston office and a member of the firm’s Technology Transactions Group.

Jonathan advises companies on complex technology, outsourcing, and commercial transactions involving intellectual property, software, data, and emerging technologies. He represents clients in structuring, negotiating, and managing the agreements that support the development, commercialization, acquisition, and delivery of technology, products, and services. His practice includes technology licensing, software, SaaS and cloud services agreements, AI and data licensing, outsourcing and managed services arrangements, procurement, product development and commercialization, strategic partnerships, and other technology-driven transactions. Jonathan also advises buyers, sellers, and investors on the technology, intellectual property, and commercial contract aspects of mergers and acquisitions and other strategic transactions.

Jonathan represents public and private companies across a broad range of industries, advising on the development, commercialization, procurement, and deployment of innovative technologies, including AI-enabled products and services, cloud-based platforms, and data-driven solutions. He provides practical, business-oriented counsel that supports strategic transactions, manages commercial risk, and enables business growth.

Prior to joining Morrison Foerster, Jonathan practiced at international law firms, where he advised clients on sophisticated technology, outsourcing, and commercials transactions.

Jonathan earned his J.D. cum laude from Boston University School of Law, where he was a member of the American Journal of Law & Medicine. He also received an M.S. in management, healthcare administration from Southern New Hampshire University and a B.A. in legal studies, with a minor in biology, from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
