Joshua (Josh) Roy is Morrison Foerster’s Senior Managing Attorney of Docket & Court Services.

Josh leverages over 15 years of experience serving in managing attorney and litigation docket specialist roles at international law firms to advise the firm on complex issues arising in appellate matters, intellectual property disputes, product liability lawsuits, and commercial and securities litigation, among other areas. More specifically, Josh serves as the firm’s authority on procedural matters in litigation, providing the firm’s attorneys with strategic advice and guidance on complicated procedural issues arising in federal and state courts.

His responsibilities include risk management, training and development of attorneys, maintaining the firm’s litigation docket calendar, coordinating court filings, acting as the firm’s liaison with court personnel, and ensuring compliance with all court rules and requirements at all stages of litigation.

He has long been active in Morrison Foerster’s pro bono activities, including his work to help preserve Plum Island, and his successful appeal of the benefits award for a veteran of the Vietnam War.

Josh earned his J.D. from the Brooklyn Law School and his B.A. in history from Hamilton College.
