Joyce Li is a trial lawyer with an emphasis on intellectual property.

Her practice includes patent, copyright, and trade secret, as well as other complex commercial matters. She has experience with a wide range of technologies, from USB to microfluidics to video streaming. She is drawn to the interplay between technology, law, and people—and strives to understand each in view of the others.

Prior to joining Morrison Foerster, Joyce clerked for the Honorable Richard G. Andrews in the U.S. District Court, District of Delaware.

Joyce received her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, where she served as an editor for the California Law Review and a senior editor for the Berkeley Technology Law Journal. Joyce holds a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Yale.
