Julian Gebauer is counsel at Morrison Foerster’s German office in Berlin and a member of our Corporate / M&A department. He assists companies and investors with structuring and implementing national and cross-border M&A projects (including stock-for-stock transactions and joint ventures) and advises German and international clients on corporate and capital market law matters. A particular focus of his work is on public takeovers (public M&A), post-merger integration measures under German stock corporation and transformation law, as well as on shareholder agreements in connection with equity investments. Julian also advises clients on the implementation of disclosure obligations under capital market law and regularly acts as notary representative.

Julian was admitted to the German bar in 2017. Prior to joining Morrison Foerster in 2019, he practiced corporate law at an international law firm. During his legal traineeship at the Higher Regional Court of Berlin, Julian worked for another leading German law firm, as well as for the German Federal Cartel Office.

He graduated from Freie Universität Berlin and also studied law at the University of Lausanne (Switzerland).

Julian is a co-author in a legal handbook on partnership law and since 2024 recognized by Best Lawyers in Germany as ”Ones to Watch” for corporate law.
