Dr. Kevin Jones focuses his work on patent drafting, patent prosecution (U.S. and foreign), IP due diligence, and freedom-to-operate analyses in areas including immuno-oncology, antibodies, and molecular diagnostics.
Dr. Jones earned a Ph.D. in genetics from the University of California, San Francisco and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles. Throughout his research career, he applied a molecular genetics approach using technologies such as confocal microscopy, next-generation RNA sequencing, and RNAi to examine questions in cancer biology, cell signaling, and metabolism. His research has been funded by fellowships from the American Cancer Society and the National Science Foundation. As an undergraduate, he earned a B.A. with honors in biology from Haverford College and conducted research funded in part by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Interdisciplinary Scholars program.
