Lauren N. Margolies is an associate in the Litigation Department of Morrison Foerster’s New York Office.
Lauren’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and class action litigation, with a particular emphasis on consumer class action defense. Lauren has actively litigated cases in a broad range of subject areas, including false advertising, consumer deception in food labeling, TCPA claims, violations of consumer protection statutes, and antitrust.
Lauren maintains an active and dynamic pro bono practice and has provided pro bono services, largely for individuals seeking assistance in post-trial criminal defense and in prisoners’ rights. She also has represented individuals in asylum applications and leads sexual education workshops, focusing on the topic of legal consent, to high school students.
Lauren received her J.D. from University of North Carolina School of Law, where she was the recipient of the Winston Crisp Award for Student Leadership. While in law school, Lauren represented indigent clients as a member of the Youth Justice Clinic. Prior to that, she earned her B.A. from University of Maryland, College Park, receiving Dean’s List honors each semester.
