Margaret (Maggie) Dowling is an associate in Morrison Foerster’s Washington, D.C. office and a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation Group.
Before joining Morrison Foerster, Maggie served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Timothy Batten of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. She also worked as a summer associate at the firm in the Two-Summer Patent Litigation Program, where she conducted research on intellectual property and contract matters, drafted client memoranda, and contributed to a Markman brief submitted to a district court.
Maggie earned her J.D. with honors from Emory University School of Law. During law school, she was a member of Emory Moot Court Society, where she held the role of Director of Competition Logistics. Maggie received awards for Best Brief and Best Oral Advocate in the International Criminal Court (ICC) Moot Court Competition. She was also part of the Technological Innovation: Generating Economic Results (TI:GER) program, where she worked with a federal laboratory and presented findings on the legal landscape of their pharmaceutical product.
Maggie earned her B.S. with high honors in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. During her undergraduate studies, Maggie worked at Dow Inc. as an engineering co-op. She also contributed to research involving the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) devices.
