Mallory Petroli is an associate based in the firm’s San Francisco office and a member of the Technology Transactions Group.

Mallory counsels Fortune 100 companies across the technology, consumer products, defense, pharmaceutical, and financial services industries. Her practice focuses on global privacy and data protection, artificial intelligence, online safety, and complex regulatory matters involving data and emerging technologies.

She also advises clients on complex commercial and technology transactions. She drafts and negotiates software as a service (SaaS), infrastructure as a service (IaaS), software and technology licensing, master services, development, nondisclosure, and other technology agreements. Her experience includes advising major IaaS providers on data center development and issues involving cross-border transfers of U.S. sensitive data.

Prior to joining Morrison Foerster, Mallory was counsel in the technology transactions and privacy practice group at another global firm.

Mallory earned her J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law, where she also received a Certificate in International and Comparative Law. She received her B.A. from University of California, Los Angeles, where she interned at the American Enterprise Institute and studied East-West trade and economic relations abroad at Fudan University in Shanghai, China.
