Maria Strickland is a partner in the firm’s Finance Group.
Maria represents leading banks and financial institutions in bilateral and syndicated financings involving domestic and international private investment funds and their sponsors. Her practice spans a wide range of fund strategies and structures, including emerging managers, venture capital, real estate and private credit funds, rated note feeders, evergreen funds, SMAs, continuation vehicles, insurance-dedicated funds, and other bespoke pooled arrangements. She advises on the structuring and negotiation of subscription and capital call facilities, umbrella facilities, NAV and hybrid facilities, GP and management company financings, and fund-level guarantee and cascading pledge structures, often involving cross-border considerations and multi-jurisdictional investor bases.
Previously in her career, Maria served as a law clerk to the Honorable John S. Dalis, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of Georgia.
While receiving her J.D. from Boston College Law School, Maria was a senior editor of the Uniform Commercial Code Reporter-Digest.
