Maya King is an associate in Morrison Foerster’s San Francisco office, and a member of the firm’s Litigation Group.
Prior to MoFo, Maya clerked for the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, where she supported Senator Cory Booker on judiciary ethics matters. Maya also served with the San Francisco Department of Police Accountability, contributing to investigations of excessive use-of-force cases and policy reforms addressing bias in law enforcement.
Maya earned her J.D. from Stanford Law School, where she received the Judge Thelton Henderson Prize for her work in human rights. While in law school, Maya co-authored a report on AI and education for Ashwini K.P., the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Contemporary Forms of Racism. Maya also served as a senior editor of the Stanford Journal of International Law.
She received her B.A. cum laude in political science and international relations from Gonzaga University.
She is fluent in French and proficient in German.
