Mengshan’s practice focuses on the formation and ongoing operation of investment funds.

Mengshan’s work includes advising fund managers and investors on the formation of and investment in an array of private equity funds includung blind-pooled vehicles, co-investment funds, and separately managed accounts. She also has experience advising on secondaries transactions, such as secondary transfers of fund interests.

Prior to joining MoFo, Mengshan worked in the Financial Services team of another prestigious international law firm and as an in-house counsel in an asset management firm.

Mengshan is a Registered Foreign Lawyer with the Law Society of Hong Kong. She is fluent in English and Mandarin.

• An Asia-based asset management firm in the formation of investment vehicles relating to the acquisition of a portfolio of hotels in Japan.
• One of the world’s largest pension investors in its investment into an Asian leading real asset management group’s open-ended Korea logistics core fund, valued at more than US$400 million.
• A real estate private equity firm in its formation of a separately managed account for a sovereign investor and several co-investment funds.
• The Hong Kong asset management arm of a PRC state-owned enterprise in the formation of segregated portfolios for the investments in certain QFLPs.
• Institutional investors including sovereign investors and fund of funds in connection with their investments in traditional comingled funds, co-investment funds and separately managed accounts with a variety of investment strategies.
• Institutional investors in their secondary transfers of interests in funds, and in the exit strategies in relation to continuation funds.
