Michael Strother is an associate in the firm’s Finance Group. Michael specializes in representing banks and other financial institutions in both single- and multi-lender financing transactions involving private equity and venture capital funds and their portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Morrison Forester, Michael was a debt finance associate at another international law firm located in Boston. In this role, Michael focused on the representation of major commercial and investment banks, private equity sponsors and corporate borrowers in connection with domestic and cross-border secured and unsecured credit facilities, leveraged acquisition financings and other debt financing transactions.
Michael graduated with a B.A. in English with Honors from the University of Pennsylvania and earned his J.D. from New York University School of Law, where he was awarded the prestigious Nordlicht Family Scholarship in Law & Social Entrepreneurship and Jacobson Scholarship in Law & Business. During his time at NYU, he was also highly active, serving as the President of First-Generation Professionals and as the Treasurer of the Health Law & Policy Society. He demonstrated his commitment to social enterprise and start-up law as the Alt-Break Co-Chair of the Social Enterprise & Start-Up Law Group. He was also a member of the JD-MBA Association, the Black Allied Law Students Association, and OUTLaw.
