Raffaele Mazza is a senior associate at Morrison Foerster’s German office in Berlin. He advises German and international clients on commercial real estate transactions as well as on the acquisition and sale of real estate portfolios and on corporate real estate and legal asset management matters. He particularly focuses on property acquisition and commercial tenancy law advice. His experience includes office buildings, residential properties, retail properties, hotels, warehouses, logistic properties, onshore windfarms, and nursing homes.

Prior to joining Morrison Foerster Raffaele Mazza worked in the real estate practice of an international law firm for several years.

He studied law at Trier University and the University of Sheffield. He wrote his doctoral thesis on the topic of “The Unavoidable Error of Law and the Trust in Legal Advice in European, German and French Antitrust Law.”

• Advise of world-leading private investment house on the acquisition of five office properties in Munich and Berlin and on the disposal of an existing office complex in Munich (asset-, share- and forward deals).
• Advise of an international conglomerate on the acquisition of several hotels in Hamburg and Berlin.
• Advise of various international investors on the acquisition and development of several logistics properties located across Germany.
• Ongoing leasing and legal asset management advice for a world-leading private investment house with regard to several office buildings located mainly in Berlin and Munich (i.e., advice on the conclusion of new lease agreements, negotiation of amendments to existing lease agreements and litigation advice).
• Advise of Foncia Pierre Gestion, a French real estate fund on the acquisition of the Krickenbeck Castle located outside the city of Nettetal and the Rothenbuch Castle outside Frankfurt a.M.
• Advise of BNP Paribas Real Estate on the acquisition of the L'oréal headquarters in Düsseldorf.
• Advise of Cofinimmo S.A on the acquisition of several nursing homes in Calau and Chemnitz.
