Rianna is an associate in Morrison Foerster’s Appellate and Supreme Court practice, based in the firm’s San Francisco office. Her practice focuses on high-stakes appeals and complex legal issues spanning constitutional, administrative, and statutory law.
Before joining the firm, Rianna clerked for Associate Justice Goodwin H. Liu of the California Supreme Court, Judge Michelle T. Friedland of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and Judge Haywood S. Gilliam, Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
Prior to her clerkships, Rianna was a Law Fellow at the Impact Fund, where she contributed to complex impact and class action litigation, including by drafting amicus briefs, assisting with dispositive motions, and supporting oral argument preparation before the California Court of Appeal.
Rianna earned her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif and received Pro Bono Honors with Highest Distinction. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Miami with a B.S. in Journalism and Theatre Arts.
