Richard Jackson is Assistant General Counsel and Director of Conflicts/New Business to Morrison Foerster. He directs the firm’s Lateral Conflicts and Conflicts Counsel teams and is the legal lead in Conflicts/New Business on issues arising from the functions of lateral clearance, new matter conflict resolution, contracts and compliance, and thrust-upon conflicts generated from merger/acquisition activity. He also advises the firm on legal, business, and strategic conflicts of interest issues.
Before joining Morrison Foerster, Richard was a litigator who counseled law firms on conflicts, legal ethics, and risk prevention, and served as defense counsel in legal malpractice actions and motions to disqualify.
