Richelle Gernan is an associate in the Litigation Department of Morrison Foerster’s Washington, D.C. office and a member of the firm’s Global Antitrust Law Practice Group. Her work focuses on antitrust litigation, merger review, and government investigations.

Richelle represents clients in matters before the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission, including Hart-Scott-Rodino Act filings, Second Request investigations, and civil and criminal antitrust investigations. She also handles complex antitrust litigation, including multidistrict litigation and class actions, and advises companies responding to antitrust-related congressional inquiries.

Her recent work includes representing technology, media, and healthcare companies in merger reviews, antitrust investigations, and litigation involving alleged price fixing in the television advertising market.

Richelle also maintains an Investigations + White Collar Defense practice, advising multinational companies in connection with high-profile public inquiries and congressional investigations.

Prior to joining Morrison Foerster, Richelle served as an income security and housing policy fellow at the National Women’s Law Center. During law school, she was a law clerk for the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee and a judicial extern for Judge Edward M. Chen at the U.S. Federal District Court of the Northern District of California.

Richelle received her J.D. from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings), where she served as editor-in-chief of the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly. She earned her B.A. from San Francisco State University, where she created her own multi-disciplinary major focusing on the Filipina American Diaspora.
