Sam Habein is an associate in Morrison Foerster’s Intellectual Property Litigation Group. His practice focuses on complex, multi-venue IP disputes involving telecommunications, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT) systems, and life sciences innovations. Sam has experience representing clients across all stages of litigation, from pre-suit investigation and discovery to expert witness preparation, trial strategy, and appellate briefing.
Before joining the firm, Sam was an intellectual property associate at a global law firm. He also served as a Research Fellow at the Center for Legal and Court Technologies, where he examined the legal implications of artificial intelligence, IoT ecosystems, and smart-city environmental monitoring.
Sam earned his J.D. cum laude from William & Mary Law School, where he concentrated on Intellectual Property and Environmental Law. He holds a B.A. in physics from the College of the Holy Cross.
