Sam Meyer is an associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation Group based in the Palo Alto office.

Before joining the firm full-time, Sam worked as a law clerk supporting the firm’s ITC practice on a range of substantive and procedural issues. In law school, he also was a two-summer patent litigation associate, where he researched and drafted analyses on pleadings related to antedating prior art, infringement standards, discovery disputes, and trade secret matters. At UVA Law, Sam co-founded the first patent law student organization. Additionally, Sam worked in the Decarceration and Community Reentry and Criminal Defense Clinics, where he made court appearances on behalf of his clients and ultimately helped secure release for one of his clients after over 15 years in prison.

Sam earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and graduated magna cum laude from Brigham Young University, with dual degrees in neuroscience and bioinformatics and a minor in computer science.
