Scott Porter is of counsel based in the firm’s San Francisco office and a member of the Emerging Companies + Venture Capital Group.

Scott provides guidance on Delaware and California corporate law, federal and state securities exemptions, and corporate governance matters. He advises on corporate formations, corporate clean-up matters, and financing transactions, drawing on experience working with emerging companies, venture capital investors, and public companies.

Prior to joining Morrison Foerster, Scott was a senior corporate counsel in the Technology Companies Group at a global firm.

Scott earned his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law and his M.A. and B.A. from Stanford University.
