Shotaro Maruyama is an associate in Morrison Foerster’s San Francisco office.

Shotaro received his LL.B. from the University of Tokyo Faculty of Law, his J.D. from the University of Tokyo School of Law, and his LL.M. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. Shotaro completed his training at the Legal Training and Research Institute of the Supreme Court of Japan (68th trainee).

Shotaro is a bengoshi admitted to practice in Japan and is a member of the Tokyo Bar Association. Shotaro is admitted to practice law in the state of California.

Shotaro represents public and private companies and private equity firms in connection with complex transactions, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions.
