Shunji’s practice focuses on litigation and transactions involving intellectual property and corporate matters relevant to life sciences and technology companies, including intellectual property litigation, trade secret litigation, license agreements, joint research and development agreements, joint venture, intellectual property due diligence, and pharmaceutical regulatory matters.
He is also experienced in data privacy matters, including data breach responses and the development of internal data privacy policies.
Shunji received his B.A. in biotechnology from Kyoto University and completed his training at the Legal Training and Research Institute of the Supreme Court of Japan (62nd trainee).
Prior to becoming an attorney, he worked as a patent examiner at the Japan Patent Office.
Shunji is a bengoshi admitted to practice in Japan and a member of the Dai-Ichi Tokyo Bar Association.
