Dr. Thomas Keane focuses his practice on patent drafting and prosecution, freedom-to-operate analyses, and IP due diligence, with an emphasis on chemistry and pharmaceuticals.

Thomas earned his Ph.D. in chemistry from Harvard University, where he was a National Science Foundation graduate research fellow. During his doctoral research, he studied metal oxide water oxidation catalysts for use in clean energy storage systems. He also worked on the development of catalysts for the partial and total electrochemical oxidation of organic substrates for use in synthetic and fuel cell applications, respectively.

Thomas earned his B.S. in chemistry, summa cum laude, from the University of Delaware. His undergraduate research focused on the development of heterogeneous catalysts for the conversion of carbon dioxide to fuel precursors.

Thomas is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
