Umeet Sajjan is an associate in the Litigation Department of Morrison Foerster’s San Francisco office.

Umeet’s practice focuses on intellectual property litigation, including patent litigation, copyright claims, and trademark infringement. 

Umeet earned her J.D., cum laude, from the Washington University in St. Louis School of Law. While in law school, she served as a student lawyer in the Appellate Clinic where she drafted an opening brief for a civil rights case before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Umeet also externed for the Missouri State Public Defender in the St. Louis City Trial Division where she second chaired a trial, argued motions, and drafted legal arguments. Umeet was also a summer associate in the intellectual property litigation groups of Morrison Foerster and another major law firm.

Prior to law school, Umeet gained trial experience as an intellectual property litigation paralegal at another major law firm. Umeet received her B.A. in molecular and cell biology and legal studies from the University of California, Berkeley.
