Aisulu Masylkanova is of counsel in the Financial Transactions Group of the New York office of Morrison & Foerster. Ms. Masylkanova represents investment banks, commercial banks, private equity funds, private and public borrowers and issuers in large-cap, middle market and mezzanine financings and restructurings. Her experience is domestic and cross-border and covers a broad range of transactions, including acquisition financings, first/second lien financings and hybrid debt/equity financings.

Ms. Masylkanova also maintains an active pro bono practice, representing individuals in immigration matters and nonprofit organizations in financing and related matters. She is also a member of the Young Professionals Committee of a nonprofit educational organization Global Kids.

Ms. Masylkanova earned her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, where she graduated cum laude and was Executive Editor of the Michigan Journal of Race & Law. She earned her M.A. in international peace studies from the University of Notre Dame and earned her B.A., summa cum laude, from Berea College.

Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Aisulu was an associate at an international law firm. She is fluent in Kyrgyz and Russian languages.
