Mr. Rugo is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Group. Mr. Rugo focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation, including patent and trade secret litigation in federal courts.

Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Mr. Rugo was an Associate at a large international law firm where he gained experience litigating patents in the fields of telecommunications, television architecture, silicon fabrication, and medical devices. He has also drafted various expert reports and prepared for and defended depositions.

Mr. Rugo earned his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law cum laude, where he was a senior production editor for the High Tech Law Journal. He received his B.A. magna cum laude in history from Santa Clara University.

Mr. Rugo is admitted to practice in California.
