Alex Siegel is an associate in the Technology Transactions Group of Morrison & Foerster’s San Francisco office.
Alex’s practice focuses on transactional matters involving intellectual property and technology, including licensing, joint development, manufacturing and supply, and mergers and acquisitions. He has counseled clients on matters across a range of areas, including software and cloud services, data rights, open source software, and IoT.
Prior to joining the firm, Alex worked in Google’s legal department, where he supported Google’s advertising product teams, negotiated commercial contracts, and performed due diligence in connection with M&A transactions. He also interned in Yelp’s legal department during law school.
Alex received his J.D. from New York University School of Law, where he participated in the NYU Cyber Scholars Scholarship Program and served as a staff editor of the NYU Journal of Law and Business. He also joined the InSITE Fellows, a graduate leadership development program, where he worked on consulting projects for startup companies in New York City. Before attending law school, he received his B.A. in philosophy, politics, and economics, cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania.Show More
