Alexa Belonick is an associate in the San Francisco office of Morrison & Foerster and a member of the Corporate Department.  Ms. Belonick works with public and private companies on general and transactional matters, with a particular focus on representing public companies in a wide range of corporate and securities law topics.  She has worked on numerous debt and equity financing transactions, including registered notes offerings, 144A private placements, convertible note offerings, initial public offerings and secondary equity offerings.  Ms. Belonick regularly advises public companies on disclosure and compliance matters, including corporate governance issues and compliance with NYSE and Nasdaq listing standards and U.S. federal securities laws.  Ms. Belonick also represents both public and private companies in mergers and acquisitions and other strategic transactions.  She works with companies across a variety of industries, including tech, pharmaceuticals, retail, and oil and gas.

Before joining the firm, Ms. Belonick was an associate in the Corporate Department of Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP in New York, where she worked with financial institutions and companies in public and private offerings of securities and other capital market transactions. 

Ms. Belonick received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she was the Editor-in-Chief of the Virginia Law Review. She received her M.A. from the University of St. Andrews and her B.A., with highest distinction, from the University of California, Berkeley.
