Ali U. Nardali is Of Counsel in the firm's San Francisco office. Mr. Nardali's practice focuses on executive compensation matters faced by the firm's clients, principally in connection with mergers and acquisitions, public and private, domestic and international. In the mergers and acquisitions context, Mr. Nardali has been involved in some of the most significant and high-profile transactions of the past several years, including Softbank's landmark acquisition of Sprint Nextel for $21.6 billion, IBM's acquisition of Cognos for $5 billion, and Novellus' $3.3 billion merger with Lam Research. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Nardali was an associate at Cravath, Swaine and Moore in New York City, where his practice also focused on executive compensation matters. A graduate of The Yale Law School and a former member of the Editorial Board of The Yale Law Journal, Mr. Nardali is a current member of The Yale Law School Alumni Steering Committee. Mr. Nardali holds a B.A. in mathematics, summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
