Amala Nath is of counsel in Morrison & Foerster’s Washington, D.C. office and a member of the firm’s Agency Finance and Project Finance Groups. 

Amala has over a decade of experience representing multilateral development banks, export-credit agencies, and financial institutions on international debt financings. Through the representations of lenders, she works closely with sponsors, developers, technical specialists, and governments to facilitate the development of projects in various sectors, including, energy, manufacturing, agribusiness, transportation, infrastructure, and microfinance. She has worked on numerous transactions throughout Latin America and Africa and also works on projects in other emerging markets. Amala was previously seconded on a part-time basis to the legal department of the United States International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) where she served as counsel on a portfolio of renewable energy projects for the Global Climate Finance Facility.

While in law school, she served as the Senior Articles & Critical Essays Editor of the American University International Law Review and was a Dean’s Fellow in the Legal Rhetoric Department.
