Amanda Phillips is an associate in the litigation department. Her practice focuses on intellectual property litigation and trademark prosecution and enforcement. She has litigated proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board as well as trademark infringement actions in federal courts. Ms. Phillips also advises clients on trademark issues, from registration to enforcement.

Ms. Phillips received her J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 2015, where she was the recipient of the Dean’s Scholar Prize. While attending law school, she served as an extern to the Honorable Jennifer Gee, District Chief Judge of the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Administrative Law Judges. Ms. Phillips earned her B.A., with honors, in the History of Art and Architecture from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Prior to attending law school, Ms. Phillips worked in retail and wholesale sales, developing long-term relationships with architects and design professionals.

Ms. Phillips is admitted to practice law in California.

  • (Northern District of California). Defended Ubiquiti Networks in a Digital Millennium Copyright Act case involving electronic design automation software.

  • (Northern District of California). Represented Hyp3r in a trademark infringement case against Mogimo Inc. regarding influencer and location-based marketing.  The case settled on favorable terms.

  • (Western District of Texas). Represented One World Foods in a trademark infringement case against Stubb’s Austin Restaurant regarding the unlicensed use of STUBB’S for restaurants and music venues. The case settled on favorable terms and resulted in a stipulated permanent injunction.
