Anastasiya focuses her practice on class action and product liability defense.
Ana has experience defending consumer class actions and litigating complex commercial matters, including unfair business competition, false advertising, and product liability. She has represented several consumer goods manufacturers and retailers in false advertising and mislabeling class action lawsuits. She has also performed risk assessments for clients in the food and cosmetics industries surrounding representations like “all natural” on product labeling. Ana is experienced in handling discovery matters, including e-discovery. She has managed review teams involving hundreds of thousands of documents. She also maintains an active pro bono practice that includes representing clients in matters involving domestic abuse and immigration.
Before joining MoFo’s Litigation Department, Ana handled class action and complex litigation, employment and insurance-related matters as an associate at a global firm. She also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Thomas J. Whelan of the U.S. District Court, Southern District of California and to the Honorable Margaret M. Mann of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of California.
Ana received her J.D. magna cum laude from University of San Diego School of Law, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as a member of the San Diego International Law Journal and Moot Court. Ana received her B.A. summa cum laude in economics from the University of San Diego, where she was Phi Beta Kappa.
