Dr. Andreas Grünwald is a partner in the Berlin office of Morrison & Foerster. His practice focuses on competition and regulatory matters with a particular focus on the telecommunications, media and technology (TMT) sector. This includes merger control and other regulatory advice on TMT transactions, as well as consulting clients on a wide range of their operational issues (e.g., market entry, market dominance, price regulation, network access, vertical agreements, antitrust compliance and related litigation).
Andreas is highly regarded in the industry. He was named Lawyer of the Year in the Berlin Media Law category by Best Lawyers Germany 2013, as well as recommended in the following areas:
Andreas teaches media and competition law at the University of Münster. He served as expert consultant to the European Commission and to the Council of Europe and is the founding editor of the International Journal of Communications Law and Policy (IJCLP).
He studied law at the universities of Würzburg and Münster, was a visiting scholar at the Communications Media Center at New York Law School, an international fellow with the Information Society Project at Yale Law School and a research fellow with Professor Dr. Bernd Holznagel at the Institute for Information, Telecommunications and Media Law (ITM) at the University of Münster.
