Andreea Vasiliu is a New York-based associate in the firm’s Securities Litigation, Enforcement, and White-Collar Defense practice group. Her practice focuses on government and cross-border internal investigations. She represents clients in government investigations involving anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, and trade sanctions compliance (OFAC) issues. She has also worked on post-financial crisis government investigations into the residential mortgage-backed securitization practices of major banks.

Ms. Vasiliu also has an active pro bono practice and sits on the Pro Bono Advisory Council of New York Lawyers for the Public Interest.

Ms. Vasiliu holds degrees in both common law and civil law from McGill University's Faculty of Law. While at McGill, she served as senior editor for the McGill Law Journal and as associate editor for the McGill Journal for Sustainable Development Law and Policy, was awarded the J.S.D. Tory Writing Award, and competed in the Vis International Commercial Arbitration moot in Vienna. She received her B.A., magna cum laude, in economics and international relations from Mount Holyoke College, and holds an M.A. in political science from the University of Toronto.

Ms. Vasiliu is fluent in Romanian and German and has a working knowledge of French. She is admitted to practice law in New York and in Ontario, Canada.
