Andrew Barr is an associate in the Litigation Department. His practice focuses on transportation and product liability matters.

Andrew Barr represents clients in both state and federal court, as well as before federal agencies, with an emphasis on aviation-related matters. He also represents clients interacting with the federal government, including in proceedings instigated by the Federal Aviation Administration, the Securities Exchange Commission, and the Department of Justice. Andrew is a member of the firm’s Transportation Group, and, as a pilot, he is able to provide a unique perspective when working with aviation and UAS clients.

Andrew is also active in appellate matters. He has successfully briefed and argued cases in several federal appellate courts and he is an active member of the Sixth and Tenth Circuit’s appellate panels on which he accepts appointments to represent indigent individuals in civil or criminal appeals. He is currently appointed to represent a client in a constitutional matter before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.

Prior to joining the firm, Andrew clerked for the Honorable Helene N. White of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Andrew received his J.D. and LL.M. (International and Comparative Law) from Duke University School of Law. He is a private pilot, a remote pilot, a licensed skydiver, and enjoys spending time in the mountains.

Andrew is admitted to practice law in Illinois and in Colorado.
