Mr. Morrison is of counsel in the firm’s Real Estate Group. Mr. Morrison’s practice focuses on the representation of funds, banks, REITs and other institutional clients in all major aspects of real estate-related transactions, including: financings; acquisitions and dispositions; development projects; fund formation; joint venture arrangements; restructurings and workouts; and distressed loan portfolio acquisitions. Mr. Morrison also represents lenders and sponsors in project finance transactions.
Mr. Morrison formerly practiced in the firm’s Tokyo office and has been recommended as a leading real estate lawyer by Chambers Asia Pacific, The Legal 500 Asia Pacific, and Who’s Who Legal Japan. Chambers Global has also named him a Japan Real Estate "Expert Based Abroad."
Mr. Morrison earned his J.D. degree from Vanderbilt University School of Law, where he was a Student Authorities Editor for the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law, and received his B.B.A. degree from George Washington University. Mr. Morrison also studied Japanese language at Nanzan University, in Nagoya, Japan. Mr. Morrison is admitted to the bar in the District of Columbia and the State of Maryland.
