Angela Kerek is a partner at Morrison & Foerster’s German office in Berlin. Her practice focuses on syndicated loans, corporate finance, acquisition, real estate and project financing, financings through alternative credit provider and restructurings.

Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Ms. Kerek worked at a major international law firm in Frankfurt for nine years. In 2010, Ms. Kerek was seconded to the Global Restructuring Group (CRU) at The Royal Bank of Scotland in London where she worked on the restructuring of ABS and CMBS structures as well as on general corporate restructuring matters.

Ms. Kerek  was a member of the Female Advisory Board of HypoVereinsbank in Frankfurt and holds an executive MBA degree of the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University in Chicago, USA, and of WHU, Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar/ Düsseldorf, Germany.

  • Advised HayFin Capital Management funds in relation to the financing of the Paradigm Spine Group.
  • Advised Ciber AG in relation to a receivables financing transaction with FGI.
  • Advised Davidson Capital Growth Funds in relation to the financing of SoundCloud.
  • Advised banks in connection with the acquisition of Nokia HERE by a bidder consortium consisting of Audi, BMW and Daimler.
  • Advised banks in the € 4.4bn takeover of Italcementi by HeidelbergCement.
  • Advised Deutsche Börse on the acquisition of 360T.
  • Advised Pamplona / LetterOne Group on the € 5.1bn acquisition financing of DEA Deutsche Erdoel AG.
  • Advised Siemens AG on the attempted takeover of the French energy and transport group Alstom.
  • Advised Funke Mediengruppe on the acquisition of Springer publications and on the refinancing of the group facilities.
  • Advised the banks on the restructuring and refinancing of the Schaeffler Group.
