Areeba Jibril is an associate in the Litigation Department of Morrison & Foerster’s San Francisco office.
Areeba was previously a summer associate in MoFo’s San Francisco and Washington, D.C. offices. She earned her J.D. cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School, where she was an executive editor of the Michigan Journal of Race and Law and a Geneva International Fellow and legal intern at the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva, Switzerland.
Areeba has a strong commitment to the firm’s pro bono efforts, drawing on her experience as a student attorney at the Michigan Innocence Clinic to support the representation of indigent criminal defendants.
She is dedicated to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the legal profession. While in law school, Areeba was co-president of the Muslim and South Asian Student Associations and actively worked to recruit students of color into the legal profession.
Areeba received her B.A. in economics and political science with a minor in Arab and/or Muslim American studies from the University of Michigan.
Areeba is conversationally fluent in Urdu and Hindi.Show More
