Boris Pesin is an attorney in the Patent Group at Morrison & Foerster’s Washington, D.C. office, where his practice focuses on patent preparation and prosecution, portfolio strategy, and IP due diligence.

Mr. Pesin earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and earned his B.S. in computer science from University of Maryland. He has more than 12 years of experience at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) as a Supervisory Patent Examiner and Primary Examiner. During his time at the PTO, Mr. Pesin examined patent applications and supervised patent examiners in the examination of patent applications in a variety of technologies, including operator interface, document processing, database and file management systems, image processing, network security, and business method. Prior to joining the PTO, Mr. Pesin worked as a senior computer programmer and systems analyst specializing in application design and development.

Mr. Pesin is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
