Brian Ho is an associate in Morrison & Foerster’s Hong Kong office.

Brian’s practice focuses on fund formation and related matters. Brian regularly advises both managers and investors in the formation and operation of private equity funds, venture capital funds, real estate funds, and other alternative investment products, as well as related regulatory and internal governance matters.

In addition, Brian advises clients in private equity/M&A transactions and other corporate matters.

Brian is fluent in English, Cantonese, Mandarin and Japanese.

Representative Experience

  • GLP Pte Ltd. in connection with its sell-down of limited partnership interest in GLP Japan Development Partners III, a US$5.6 billion Japan-focused logistics private real estate fund.
  • GLP Pte. Ltd. in the formation of RMB4.5 billion (approximately US$675 million) GLP China Value-Add Venture III with a group of leading international and domestic institutional investors to invest in GLP Park Lingang in Shanghai.
  • A leading UK-based real estate fund manager in the establishment of a US$200 million open-ended core fund with a focus on Japan residential real estate.
  • Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China Ltd. in its capital and strategic alliance with Shionogi & Co., Ltd. with a total value of US$780 million, which includes (i) subscription of a 2.05% voting stake in Shionogi and (ii) establishment of joint ventures in Shanghai and Hong Kong. Shionogi is a leading research-driven pharmaceutical company headquartered in Japan.
  • Actis with respect to the US$180 million Series C round financing and acquisition of a controlling stake in Chayora, a leading infrastructure developer based in Hong Kong with a primary focus on building Data Centre platforms in China.
