Cara Ann Marr Rydbeck is a member of the Technology Transactions Group in the San Francisco office of Morrison & Foerster.

Ms. Rydbeck focuses her practice on transactions involving technology and intellectual property, advising clients on all aspects of intellectual property and commercial agreements. Her clients include companies of all sizes and in a variety of industries, with a particular focus on the technology and life sciences industries.

In the technology sector, Ms. Rydbeck’s practice includes advising on joint development projects and strategic alliances, distribution, sourcing, and other commercial arrangements, outsourcing transactions, and key patent licenses and acquisitions. She is regularly involved in negotiating agreements regarding the licensing and commercialization of intellectual property, including development agreements, manufacturing and supply agreements, distribution agreements, and hosting agreements. In the life sciences sector, Ms. Rydbeck has experience with, among other things, collaboration agreements for the development and commercialization of pharmaceutical products and medical devices, clinical trial agreements, and university-sponsored research agreements and licenses.

In addition to her core technology transactions experience, Ms. Rydbeck advises clients on intellectual property issues in connection with venture financings and mergers and acquisitions.

Ms. Rydbeck received her J.D. in 2007 from Stanford Law School, where she was a member of the Stanford Law Review and the Stanford Technology Law Review. She received her B.A. in comparative literature, magna cum laude, in 2000 from Yale University, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
