Cecile Yang is an associate in Morrison & Foerster’s Hong Kong Office. Her practice spans across cross-border M&A, and joint ventures as well as private equity and venture capital financings.

Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Ms. Yang was an associate in the New York office of a major international law firm.

Ms. Yang is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

Representative Matters

  • Represented a New York-based private equity firm specializing in middle market companies and its portfolio companies in numerous transactions, including the acquisitions of a leading national dermatology practice, an ophthalmologic services platform, and an operator of service-based franchise brands, and the sale of a leading national physical therapy business.
  • Represented a leading global private equity firm in certain leveraged buyouts and minority investments.
  • Represented an Atlanta-based private equity firm and its portfolio company in the US$2.9 billion take-private of Buffalo Wild Wings, Inc. (NASDAQ: BWLD) and the US$2.3 billion take-private of Sonic (NASDAQ: SONC).
  • Represented Canada's largest publicly owned distribution utility in its US$11.3 billion acquisition of the largest independent electricity transmissions company in the US and its related $1.2 billion partnership with a sovereign wealth fund.
