Christopher Robinson is an associate in Morrison & Foerster’s Intellectual Property Group, focusing on patent litigation (including Hatch-Waxman litigation), as well as trademark, trade secret, and contract litigation.
Mr. Robinson has represented clients from a broad range of technical disciplines, including medical devices, pharmaceutical compounds, medical robotics, consumer electronics, smartphones, and computer software. He has substantial experience in all stages of the litigation process, including pleadings, motion practice, electronic discovery, preliminary injunctions, summary judgment motions, and trial. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Robinson worked as a research assistant for MedImmune Vaccines, using recombinant DNA technology to design live-virus vaccines.
Mr. Robinson received a B.A. in biology from Reed College in 2002, specializing in molecular biology and recombinant DNA technology. He received a J.D. cum laude from Santa Clara University in 2008, where he was named to the Order of the Coif. While in law school, Mr. Robinson served as a judicial extern to the Hon. James Ware of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. He also participated in the Giles Rich Moot Court Competition, winning an award for Best Appellant Brief.
