Christopher Yap is an associate in the Palo Alto office of Morrison & Foerster and a member of the Corporate Department.  Mr. Yap’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters.

Mr. Yap advises public companies, private companies and private equity firms on a variety of public and private M&A matters, including complex cross-border transactions. He has also advised investment banks, companies and private equity firms on securities law matters.

Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Mr. Yap served as corporate counsel to Cadence Design Systems, a leading provider of electronic design automation tools. Before that, he was an associate in the Palo Alto and Hong Kong offices of a large international law firm. Mr. Yap is fluent in Mandarin.

Mr. Yap earned his J.D. magna cum laude from Harvard Law School. He holds a B.A. with high distinction from University of California, Berkeley, where he was selected to Phi Beta Kappa.
